Crypto exchange Gemini is calling for Barry Silbert, chief executive of Digital Currency Group (DCG), to be removed after Gemini accused a DCG unit of misleading accounting.

In an open letter Tuesday, Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss wrote that 340,000 Gemini Earn customers who earned steep interest payments by lending their crypto assets to the DCG unit, Genesis Global Capital, are now unable to access $900 million of their money. The issue stems from the collapse of crypto exchange FTX in November, which led to a number of crypto companies, including Genesis and Gemini, having to pause redemptions.
