Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu says his administration has delivered on its promises to residents of the state in the past four years.

Governor promised more dividends of democracy to the people of Lagos if elected for a second term.

The governor was speaking during the state’s annual Thanksgiving service with the theme ‘praised in the name of God’

It was another opportunity for the first family and the government of Lagos State to show their gratitude to God.

Instituted by the Bola Ahmed Tinubu administration in 2000 at the annual Lagos State Thanksgiving is organised to usher in a new year and pray for the protection and prosperity of the state in the new year and beyond.

The former Lagos State commissioner for information and strategy, Dele Alake represented the former governor of the state who is now the APC’s presidential candidate Bola Tinubu.

Sanwo-Olu while addressing the congregation said “By the special grace of God we have kept the promise we made to you. This time four years ago when we were seeking your mandate to administer this Center of Excellence, this state of aquatic Splendor, the heartbeat of our country, the commercial economic nerve center of the greatest black nation on Earth, we believe that we have lived up to that excellent spirit that is associated with
the Lagos Spirit.

“We have built and reconstructed hundreds of roads in various states in our city; however, we now lack the time to properly commission all of them, despite the fact that some roads have been completed.

“We have seen improvements to our BRT, which we introduced for the first time last month for small bosses conjunction improvements, you have seen the modernization and expansion of the Lagos ferry service, we have done the introduction of technology to support traffic management in a city, and we have completed phase one of our blue line of a Lagos Mass rail Transit.
